Working with a Designer

Working with a designer is easy. The designer will meet you at your home and assess your design needs. You can choose one of our specialty packages or customize your own design challenge. (See Design Services) The designer will put together a presentation to help you visualize how your room will look and feel once the design is in place. Then they will coordinate each step of the process to achieve the desired goal; while you are involved with as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

Tips when working with an interior designer:

• The best designers don't have a "signature style," their portfolio should look as different as their clients. At Design Innovations we are committed to giving you a unique look that is a reflection of you and your family's or business' style and needs.
• When working with a designer be open to new unexpected ideas (that should be one of the reasons you hired them). Give the designer's ideas time to sink in and don't be afraid to dream.
• Tell your designer how you want to feel in the space. Using words on how you want to feel emotionally will give the designer insight on what you want the space to look like upon completion.
• Always give the designer a target date for completion and an investment amount for the project. Communication is key for the designer to fulfill all of your expectations successfully.
